| Chief executive Andy Duncan defended his decision to keep the show on air saying the issues raised by contestant Jade Goody's treatment of Bollywood movie star Shilpa Shetty were "unquestionably a good thing".
There is mounting pressure from MPs and viewers to cancel the reality show which has already caused the Government huge embarrassment on Gordon Brown's visit to India.

| Channel4 is mighty pleased with the free publicity they and the show is getting. Jade is pathetic to the core, i agree, but at one time I have seen Shilpa Shetty provoking her unnecessary over petty chicken stock that she had ordered in the limited weekly supply they get, but Jade ended up using more, whici wasnt a big deal,but Shipa made it out to be after which there was no stopping Jade. |
